Attendance
Students are expected to be in class each day school is in session. Class attendance is extremely important for a child to benefit from daily lessons. If the child has to be absent for reasons other than illness, please make prior arrangements with the teacher whenever possible so that loss of instruction and learning can be limited to the very minimum. If a student cannot come to school due to illness, please fill out the absence report form below. Following any absence, families have three days to submit the form below or send in a written note indicating the absence date, the reason for the absence, and signed by a parent or guardian.
A student who is late must get a tardy pass from the office. If your child needs to leave school early during the day a parent/guardian must first come to the office with proper legal identification. The clerk will then call the classroom to have the child come to the office.
Excessive absences will result in:
- Letters mailed home from the school office
- Phone Calls home
- Required Parent Conference (RPC)
- visit by a truancy officer
- Possible retention for the following year
Student Early Checkout: To ensure that all students receive the maximum instructional minutes, no student will be released early from school after 1:30. PM. This policy will be strictly enforced.
We thank you for your understanding and support.
