
Our Namesake

Daniel F. Goldfarb was born on August 8, 1919. Originally from Newark, New Jersey. Mr. Goldfarb came to Las Vegas in 1958 and spent the next 37 years observing the growth of the city and contributing to its development and progress. He served in the military with the Army Air Corps during World War II. In Las Vegas, Mr. Goldfarb held a career as a CPA, successfully operating his own accounting firm. Las Vegas became the beneficiary of Mr. Goldfarb’s financial generosity, support, and years of service to a variety of organizations within the education community, such as the Foundation for Educational Research and his appointment as Chairman to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees. Daniel F. Goldfarb, along with his wife Ruth, had five children; he had a deep sense of dedication to the education of young people and through his philanthropic endeavors served as a model citizen to the community.
